Is 3rd Street Dispensary hiring?

We are currently staffed up on Team 3SD. However, you may submit your information through our application portal at any time for future consideration. Due to the high volume of applicants/interest, we appreciate your patience with us and prolonged response times. Please know that if you do not receive an immediate response, we are not ignoring you. What do I need to have to visit 3rd Street Dispensary?

What services does your dispensary offer?

We are working to provide online ordering for express pickup and delivery services to local area patients. A pharmacist is available on Tuesdays (11am to 3pm) and Thursdays (3pm to 7pm) for 3SD patient/guest consultations for discussions regarding pharmaceutical drug interactions with medicinal marijuana. When will 3SD start offering online ordering for express pickup and delivery? Much later than we planned :( but we do have our vehicle! When we have enough product supply that such services don’t restrict access to it for all patients or negatively affect our team members' hours — that's when we'll be ready to offer those convenience services. Stay tuned for future announcements!

Are there perks to being a repeat customer?

Definitely! 3rd Street Dispensary has a loyalty program for all patients/guests that wish to opt-in. We hope that you enjoy your 3SD experience and want to continue coming back to our dispensary. And if you do, we want to reward you for that! As a loyal patient/guest, you will earn points with every purchase that you can redeem for savings or other 3SD goodies. More details on this program coming very soon.

Do I need to schedule an appointment to visit?

Nope, come on by! All visits to 3rd Street Dispensary will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointments are necessary.

Do you usually have a line?

Typically, no. We are staffed up every day to minimize lines and our patients/guests’ wait. Usually, any wait times experienced are comparable to your average traffic or grocery store lines. For the most up-to-date information on the busyness of the dispensary, please call our front desk at (816) 890-9333.

Can a visitor come with me?

Yes, you may have a visitor accompany you when you come to our dispensary. FYI — they must be at least 18 years old, and will need to present a valid, government-issued ID card (a driver’s license is perfect!) when they check in at the front desk with you.


How much does it cost to get a medical marijuana patient identification card?

When applying for your patient I.D. card, there is a $25 fee for patients (and a $25 fee for caregivers) that must be paid when you submit your application. There is also a $25 renewal fee due after a year for each type of card you wish to renew. Patient cultivation is a separate $100 fee upon application and renewal. Please note that the fee for seeing a medical marijuana doctor before becoming eligible to apply is a separate cost that will vary per clinic.

Why should I buy from a dispensary?

Marijuana has been heavily trafficked through the black market during its federal prohibition. As the movement to legalize marijuana has progressed and states have begun allowing access to marijuana for medicinal use (even to recreational in some cases), the cannabis consumer has benefitted in many ways. By purchasing from a dispensary, you are not only complying with Missouri state law, but also: you know the details of what you're getting. The cannabis in our dispensary has been lab-tested for quality assurances, and the levels of THC present are transparent with each purchase.

How much can I legally buy?

Qualified MMMP patients are allowed to purchase up to 4 oz. (32 MMEs*) of compliant product per month . * = MME stands for Missouri Marijuana Equivalency Unit How much can I buy at 3SD? This changes based upon product supply and demand. Our intention is to not have purchase limits, but our top priority is to give all patients an opportunity to obtain medicine and provide reliable hours for our team members. OMG I can't stop eating. What can I do to curb my appetite?

Some strains can have this effect more than others. Your brain may be saying "I'm hungry" when you’re actually thirsty from the dehydrating effect of cannabis consumption. The best thing is to hydrate before and during medical marijuana use. A 3SD pro tip: Stock your fridge with healthy snacks for when the munchies are just too strong to fight.

Why do I feel nauseous?

This is a common tell that you’ve over-consumed. Be sure to hydrate! And next time, lower your dose. We highly recommend using a cannabis journal to help you find your "sweet spot" with your medicine.

Forget to bring your cash or need more to cover your total? No problem! There will be an ATM available for use onsite.
There are complicated banking challenges that come with medical marijuana that prohibit the use of credit cards for your purchase. Paytender is an alternate payment option for 3rd Street Dispensary patients/guests — "the cashless way to pay." By using this method, you will be able to conveniently and safely pay for your items by a QR code scan, linked to your debit card or bank account. No fees for use when Paytender is linked to your bank account, comparable fees to an ATM when it is linked to your debit card. Does your dispensary offer any discounts?

Yes. As part of our mission to Live Life Good, we want to help make medicinal marijuana more affordable and accessible to those in need. There are a few types of discounts that we offer that apply to several different groups. You can read more about the available discounts in our Community Engagement Program.

Will you sell seeds?

We hope to have seeds available for purchase in the future, but do not have any at this time. It is up to the licensed growers to make them available, and we have not heard of any doing so at this time. Don’t hesitate to check back in with us in the future!

Do you have vapes/salves/RSO in stock?

At this time, we have not been given any news on cartridges, wax, or shatter. We recommend signing up for our VIP Text Club so that you can get first news when they do arrive at our dispensary! All you need to do is text “3SD” to the number 411-669 to get started.

Are edibles/gummies/drinks in stock?

You can always keep up with what we have in stock by viewing our menu online. It is updated in real time with our POS system.
